Bowlive III - Soulive Kicks Off 10 Night Run at Brooklyn Bowl

In what is probably my top favorite musical event of the year, 2012 Bowlive III completely surpassed my expectations. I love to kick-off the first of 10 nights with camera in hand and Brooklyn Bowl deviled egg shooters in the other (You HAVE to get them at Blue Ribbon inside the Brooklyn Bowl). Here's a super cool series of photographs that really capture the intensity of Soulive. Special guest, Luther Dickinson brought the band to the crossroads of Dirty Nasty Guitar Avenue and Sick Southern Swamp Street. Soulive Kicks Off Historic 10 Night "Bowlive" Run at Brooklyn Bowl

Funk-Soul-Groove-Jazz Masters, Soulive kicked off a historic 10 night run at Brooklyn Bowl last night. The Bowery Presents promised special guests each night, last night featured Vernon Reid on guitar from Living Colour and Nigel Hall from Lettuce. Charlie Hunter, Warren Haynes, Q-Tip, and many more will be sitting in with Soulive over the next 2 weeks. You definitely want to visit the incredible Brooklyn Bowl music club.

Langerado Music Festival 2007

On assignment for Jambase, I ventured down to Sunrise, Florida for the 5th Annual Langerado Music Festival. It has fast become one of the best and brightest music events in the country. The 2nd week of March brings absolutely perfect South Florida weather, 3 stages and 47 bands of diverse music - all in pristine Markham Park (on the east edge of the everglades). It has replaced the "traditional" Ft. Lauderdale beach jaunt to become the "it" place to be during Spring Break. Take a look inside the photo gallery to see why...
