East Hampton Sunset Pre-Hurricane Irene

The night before the arrival in New York of Hurricane Irene, I zipped out to the Hamptons to photograph one of my favorite clients. There were many amazing shots, but had to get this sweet shot onto the blog to share. Wow, look at that sunset!

Central Park Summer Portrait Heaven

A friend of mine once said about a child portrait shoot, "What you get is up to the Photo Gods." I agree with that to a certain degree. For example, some kids are cranky, shy, etc. However, I look at it a different way. If you can engage right away, get them to trust you, feel comfortable with you, then you have 80% of the work done. The remaining 20% is their personality. Well on this particular shoot, I had 100% working in my favor! The gorgeous late afternoon sunlight, beautiful happy children, and my personality to engage them - all came together for this fun series of photographs.

Hamptons Beach Portrait Glory

Picture if you will...an impeccable sunset, gorgeous East Hampton Bay. Add a beautiful budding little family and a rascally little Remington - and you have a recipe for gloriously fun photographs!

Twins!

With spectacular sunshine to dapple Central Park with gorgeous morning light, I went into high gear to get these two cute munchkins to laugh like there was no tomorrow. We had the time of our life! This was seriously such a fun, non-stop laugh fest...and then there was that hilarious dip in the puddle!

Experiments with Color Palettes

Sometimes, it's just fun to experiment with different off-beat color palettes to apply to my images. These images I captured on Saturday of Turner and Mercer had a unique timelessness to them. Experimenting with different cross-processing colors resulted in this pleasing set of images. I really like the finished look.

Summer's Last Sunset

Ahhh, another summer for the record books. 2010 gave us some incredible weather and an absolutely stellar Labor Day weekend. Here's lookin' at you kid...

Sunset Perfection

Here's a cool shot from tonight's sunset shoot in Bridgehampton - on Scott Cameron Beach at the edge of Mecox Bay. The sun has just dropped below the horizon line, the sky was crystal clear, the bay was reflecting golden colors, and Samantha wasn't ready to go home - she was making sure I got that shot!

Portraits in Jerusalem

While on vacation in Israel, we spent time with our cousins in Jerusalem. We made a mini-shoot for Jonah and Eden's brand new baby cousin Tamar and 6 year old Itai - and so glad we did! They have the most beautiful eyes!!! The language of laughter was the common bond between the cousins who couldn't speak the same language.

Angel in White

Here is a gorgeous shot of Eden wearing her flower-girl gown while in a courtyard in New Orleans. The back of her gown is just stunning.

Golden Summer Sunset

What more can you say about this shot? Taken this past weekend in the Hamptons, baby Remington was working on her newfound walking freedom with a little help from mom and dad. This was taken just as the sun was going below the horizon. Priceless!
