Cookie Magazine honored extraordinary mothers in the business, philanthropy and celebrity worlds who are making outstanding contributions to women's and children's causes around the globe. Supermodel, Christie Brinkley, is fighting hard to abolish nuclear proliferation and the effects of nuclear waste on children. Kareena Gore, daughter of Al Gore, is advocating hard for improved day care, child education, and housing services for children in poverty. Lee Woodruff, wife of war injured ABC news anchor, Bob Woodruff was honored for championing her foundation to help war veterans suffering from brain trauma as a result of the war in Irag. Lipstick Jungle actress, Kim Raver, is an ambassador for Volvic and Unicef to bring celan water to children of communities in Ethiopia where half the deaths of children under five are caused by water borne illness.
I was moved by the work these woman are doing and the acceptance speaches given, and proud to have captured this evening for Cookie Magazine. Here are some photos from the event.
