Steven Adler Calls Current GNR Lineup 'Hacks'

The firestorm of the Guns N’ Roses ‘will they, won’t they?’ saga continues to gather fuel as former GN’R drummer Steven Adler calls the current Guns N’ Roses lineup ‘Axl and His Hacks,’ while once again declaring his advocacy of an ‘Appetite for Destruction’-era reunion at the band’s upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.

We exclusively broke the news on Tuesday (March 27) that Slash “would love to” reunite at the Rock Hall induction ceremony. The next day, Adler responded to Slash’s decree by also stating that he wants the reunion to happen.

Now, in another Loudwire exclusive, we’ve got the latest update on ‘Guns-gate’ with our interview with Steven Adler, which occurred this very evening.

“If it was up to me, we would have been playing for the fans a long time ago,” says Adler. “Unfortunately, I have no say in that. I’m behind it 100 percent … 111 percent! Put it this way; if the five original GN’R guys don’t get up there and play, I’m going up there just on the drum set and playing a couple of songs from ‘Appetite for Destruction.’ It’s for the fans. To me it’s just a rock ‘n’ roll band, but it’s a rock ‘n’ roll band that I’ve gotten so much love and respect from all over the world.”

“He’s my brother. I know he’s up to it,” Adler says about Slash and the Rock Hall reunion. “He wants to do it. I want to do it. Just from what I hear, Izzy [Stradlin]‘s not gonna show up and Axl will probably want to play with his hack band — his band of hacks. ‘Axl and His Hacks’ — it shouldn’t even be Guns N’ Roses. He’s just driving that name into the freakin’ ground. ‘Axl and His Hacks.’

Adler continued, “My grandmother always said, “Time heals all wounds.” Slash and Axl are one to each other. It’s not like one of them slept with one of them’s wives or anything — and even that’s forgivable after a while. There is no reason to be upset.”

Stay tuned for our full interview with Steven Adler featuring ‘Adler’ vocalist Jacob Bunton coming very soon.

'The Cockroach Sessions' is a project that started back in August 2011 as The Glow Inc. began scoring the Olympus 2207 demo.

It is a collection of songs that range from orchestral, to electro-rock, to industrial with elements of world music. Some of them were done for Olympus 2207 and were remixed and remastered for the album, others were done for the N.O.W project, while half of them were done exclusively for this album. It's mostly inspired by Nine Inch Nails, Mark Morgan, and the Fallout and Silent Hill soundtracks.

The cover was drawn by Axel Torvenius.

If you really like the album, and feel like helping the artist, you can do so by buying an extended version ( 9 more tracks ) of the album HERE

Honored & Engaged!

Last night was a super special evening in so many ways. My Aunt Lyn Jurick was the Honoree at the 25th Anniversary Gala of the 100th Ronald McDonald House. The Gala was held at Citi Field in Flushing last night and the event celebrated the vision and determination of Lyn's tirelesss humanitarian efforts. I'm so proud of her for all that she has given back - she was the first President of the Ronald McDonald House in Long Island, First Humanitarian Award Winner of the Five Towns United Way of Long Island, Long Island Volunteer Hall of Fame Inductee, Trustee of the North Shore LIJ Health System, Trustee of the Board for the Boca Raton Regional Hospital, and so much more worthy causes during the course of her career.

So on this night where our family had gathered to celebrate with Aunt Lyn, my cousin Alix got engeaged 1 hour before gala showtime at Cit Field! We surprised her with photo and video of her entire engagement. Here fiance' Paul is one smooth operator and made Alix's dream come true with a grand design of a proposal taking advantage of the magic of Citi Field. The following photographs were taken with the brand new Canon 5D Mark III.

#1 Hottest Live Photo of 2012 in Rolling Stone - My Black Keys Shot

Here's a snapshot in time that I'll treasure. The #1 Hottest Live Photo of 2012 on Rolling Stone - Black Keys at Madison Square Garden. Technically it's #1 now, but it'll slide as more photos are added, but I took a screen grab for the memories. :) Here's a link to the full gallery from this show, and here's a link to the Bowery Presents Houselist blog with the photos.

The Black Keys Crush Madison Square Garden

On the 2nd of their two sold-out Madison Square Garden shows, the Black Keys laid into their Mississipi delta, swampy-blues-influenced heavy riff rock. The band's energy kept the entire Garden on full-tilt boogy, and the general admission standing room only made the venue seem like a giant juke joint. Much respect to the Black Keys - I can't stop listening to their music on Spotify. Thanks to the Bowery Presents, and you can view the photos on the Houselist blog over there as well. Here are a few nice shots to give you the vibe of the night...

Tyler's Absolutely Amazing Bar Mitzvah at Gotham Hall

After wrapping an amazing photo shoot downtown and reviewing the photos, I knew things were going to go well for this young man for his Bar Mitzvah. He's a natural - and is one handsome kid in front of the camera as well! That was just the tip of the iceberg, because the the celebration after Tyler's wonderful reading from the Torah would truly be one for the record books. The event was at the spectacular Gotham Hall and the sophisticated details were designed by Lawrence Scott Events. The New York Knicks City Dancers spiced things up for Tyler - and then rap superstar, Iyaz surprised everyone with an incredible set near the end of the night. Watching Tyler and his friends's reaction to Iyaz's special appearance was a sight to behold! The last photo will blow your mind (more chocolate on one table than I've ever seen in my entire life). I tell you, when all the photographs are brought together for a recap, it fills my heart - so rewarding. This is a super special collection of photographs and I'm thilled to share with you what our team captured for Tyler's family.
