As a Tulane alumni, former New Orleans resident (and huge Saints fan), I was honored to be asked to photograph Beads on Broadway, the New York Mardi Gras gala for Tulane University. Held at beautiful Lighthouse @ Pier 61, the evening unfolded with great friends, music, and inspiration for the future of New Orleans. President Scott Cowen gave a moving speech about Tulane's incredible success in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Vartan Gregorian, president of the Carnegie Corporation and former president of the New York Public Library and Brown University spoke next. Vartan is a legend in higher education and he spoke beautifully about New Orleans and Tulane. Music by Circus Mind and the Tony-Award winning original cast of Jersey Boys lit the night up and put us all in that New Orleans state of mind.

Jamaica 2010
So the kids were off from school this week for President's week. It's the dead of winter - where do you go? Jamaica, of course!!! I can't say enough good things about Jamaica - the people are so crazy NICE. Ya mon, no problem mon! We had a ball with the family all under one roof at a villa at Half Moon. Check out a few photos below from the trip.
Here's a beauty of my munchkin niece, Alex. I love this shot:
Here's another beauty of Eden. This one was taken in the garden of our hotel:
Our massive villa at Half Moon in Montego Bay - it's a sugar plantation!
Imagine eating lunch here each day? Gorgeous patio, eh?
And finally, the angel of my life... Edy Bear:

Lexie's Fantastic Bat Mitzvah
Lexie celebrated her Bat Mitzvah at the water's edge of the Hudson River right here in NYC. She danced the day away with her friends and family at the Lighthouse on Pier 61. The room was well-decorated (check out the massive balloons on the ceiling in the video). Here's a little highlight clip to share some memories of the day.

SAINTS DESTINY
It was Destiny that the New Orleans Saints would win the Super Bowl. This win was earned by the superstar performance of quarterback Drew Brees, coach Sean Patyon, his offensive line, the special teams and the Saints' rock solid defense. But it was also won by the incredible spirit of its fans cheering for a city so utterly devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The sheer magnitude of hope and inspiration was too powerful for any team to defeat - and we were all treated to an awe-inspiring football game of epic proportions.
"We just believed in ourselves. We knew we had an entire city and maybe an entire country behind us. Just feeling like it was all meant to be. It's all destiny." - Drew Brees
Long Live the City of New Orleans - Long Live the New Orleans Saints!!!
