More Beautiful Fall Images

Here are a few more beautiful images of Emily Medvin from this Fall. I think I'll get Emily and my my daughter Eden together for some photos in the Spring. Can't go wrong with those two! Meanwhile, I'd like to comment how nice these images came out - definitely some of the best of the Fall.

Image of the Day - A Dream in Black and White

Here's a cool dream-like image captured during one of my Fall shoots with one of my favorite subjects, Emily Medvin. We were in Carl Shurz Park, Emily had a bunch of colored balloons and I had a blast photographing the Emily with the balloons in different areas of the park. I added a nice little magic to this image to make it unique. Tomorrow, I'll post the colored version and a few others from that shoot.

Eden Jurick Fall 2009

We were coming back from Jonah's last soccer game, walking down 5th avenue. The sun cast a beautiful glow through the trees and against the stone wall along the sidewalk. Edy and I were playing around in the leaves and I snapped a couple of shots with her in a really bright and cheery mood. I just love my Edy bear!

My Awesome New Rock Art Installation

I've been experimenting with printing images on metal - and am totally blown away by the results. Metal prints represent a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. The high gloss coating takes on an almost magical luminescence. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, the archival qualities of this unique process are unparalleled. You've never seen a more brilliant impressive print before! Colors are vibrant and the luminescence is breathtaking. So I created my own little rock art installation by creating a salute to some of my favorite masters of the guitar. Since I've photographed each of the rocks stars myself over the past few years, it made perfect sense to create this showcase for the wall in my studio. Each print is 10" x 10" on aluminum which floats off the wall about 2 inches.

Holiday Card Perfection

It's the peak of holiday card season right now - and I wanted to showcase a fabulous multi-sided card from the Meyers Family. It's not that often that you include 14 images (including the unique image on the stamp!) for your holiday card - but this summer's photo shoot was pretty epic. Melissa Meyers (AskMelissa.com) and her designer Dania created this gem - and I thought I'd share it since it had so many nice images I captured at the beach that night this summer.

Ben's Rockin' Bar Mitzvah

Ben showed the world what Benstock was all about on October 24, 2009. Ben and his brothers Jared and Ethan together with his parents Jodi and Peter celebrated music, family, food and friends - and it's all captured here in this very cool high def (for the web) video I created for them. Enjoy!

Celebrity Tennis Night Out in NYC - Serving For A Cure

Last night, I photographed an amazing event, "Serving For A Cure," a charity tennis exhibition hosted by professional tennis star James Blake. The event raised money for the late Thomas Blake, Sr., Memorial Research Fund which James established to support cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). James Blake, Andy Roddick, the Bryan brothers, Sam Querrey and American tennis "it girl" Melanie Oudin were part of a tennis exhibition match followed by a fashion show by Fila and musical performance by Wyclef Jean. John Mayer paid a visit and hung out with the players and danced with fans.

If there were ever two people in love, Brooke & Kevin take the prize. Their incredible wedding night unfolds in these images - and what a night it was!

Selain itu, penggantian link upload gambar juga cukup menyita waktu. Tapi, demi kenyamanan para pengunjung Jimbun Punya, semua ini tidak menjadi masalah. Kini, semua masalah telah teratasi. Selain itu, banyak blog di MediaQu yang terpaksa dihapus, terutama blog yangtidak aktif dan juga blog sampah atau spam. Bagi para pengguna MediaQu, saya selaku admin, meminta maaf atas ketidak nyamanan ini. Semoga anda bisa memaklumi hal ini.

Semoga blog Jimbun Punya bisa membuktikan kemampuan SEOnya dalam kontes SEO mbah gendeng. Karena, dalam kontes SEO mbah gendeng, blog Jimbun Punya masih berada dalam posisi yang sangat jauh dari halaman utama. Semoga dengan bantuan keyword dari blog ini, bisa membantu blog Jimbun Punya untuk bisa naik ke posisi yang lebih baik. Akhirnya, saya bisa membuktikan sendiri bagaimana kecepatan index dari search engine terhadap dua blog saya. Jika wordpress membutuhkan waktu kurang dari 12 jam, berbeda dengan blogspot saya ini. Memang, jika blog baru langsung kita optimasi dengan benar dan juga mendapatkan review dari sebuah blog yang lebih tinggi PRnya, kemungkinan index dari mesin pencari seperti google, yahoo, bing, dan mesin pencari lainnya akan semakin besar. Selain itu, blog walking dan submit url di search engine tidak kalah penting dari review blog yang lebih tinggi. Blog yang saya buat di Blogspot ini, membutuhkan waktu kurang dari 5 jam untuk bisa terindex dengan baik di search engine, terutama google. Dengan semua hasil ini, akhirnya saya bisa mengerti bahwa setiap platform memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangannya sendiri. Saya merasa kedua platform yang saya gunakan ini bisa dengan indahnya mengeluarkan kemampuan dan kelebihannya. Tapi, walaupun hasil di atas menunjukkan bahwa blogspot lebih cepat terindex oleh search engine, bukan berarti saya akan meninggalkan blog saya yang menggunakan platform wordpress. Semua blog ini akan saya pelihaara dan juga saya atur agar bisa lebih baik lagi. Selain itu, kebiasaan saya membuat semua blog saya menjadi dofollow, akan saya terapkan di blogspot. Sebagai pengguna baru di blogspot, maka saya akan berusaha untuk mengatur blog saya ini agar bisa lebih baik lagi. Karena, saya ingin belajar untuk menerapkan ilmu SEO yang saya pelajari pada blogspot saya.

Membandingkan Antara Wordpress dan Blogspot

Setelah kemarin mencoba untuk mengoptimasi blog wordpress baru agar bisa terindex dengan cepat oleh google, kini saya akan mencoba untuk kembali mempraktekkan ilmu yang sama dengan blog baru wordpress saya di blog Jimbun Blogspot ini. Banyak yang mengatakan bahwa blogspot lebih cepat terindex oleh google dibandingkan dengan blog yang berbasis wordpress. Maka, saya akan melakukan sebuah experimen kecil yaitu, mempraktekkan ilmu yang saya terapkan pada wordpress di blogspot. Berbagai hal akan saya lakukan agar blog ini bisa cepat terindex. Karena, blog wordpress saya, membutuhkan waktu kurang dari 12 jam untuk terindex oleh google. Apakah blogspot bisa lebih cepat atau lebih lambat? Mengingat blogspot merupakan salah satu fitur yang disediakan oleh salah satu Search Engine terbesar, google. Hal yang akan saya lakukan adalah:
1. Submit URL di google add url
2. Membuat sebuh review tentang blog ini di blog saya yang memiliki PR 3, yaitu blog Jimbun Punya
3. Blog walking ke beberapa blog dofollow

Semua hal di atas saya lakukan pada blog wordpress terbaru saya. Jika hal di atas tidak berhasil pada blogspot saya ini, maka wordpress memang lebih SEF atau Search Engine Friendly. Tapi, jika lebih cepat, maka blogspot yang lebih SEF. Semua ini hanya sebuah uji coba kecil. Mari kita buktikan, CMS mana yang lebih cepat? Wordpress atau Blogspot.

Eden's Beauty Pageant

I couldn't resist posting this. Last week, my daughter Eden placed as a runner-up in the Miss Jr. Teen New York City Beauty Pageant among 276 girls. She was a superstar! We are sooooo proud of her.

Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower Ever 2009

Last night at American Girl Place on 5th Ave, hundreds of expecting mothers gathered for an evening of seminars, shopping, gifts, food, games and give-aways. Guest speakers, Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl) and Dr. Alan Greene were on hand to give mothers-to-be advice and best practices for their little ones on the way.

It's Good to be King

What an epic night for an incredible friend - Kingsley "Captain Nemo" Stoken turns 40 and the Radiators throw down an all time great SNAFU party. Words can't really describe how much fun we all had, so I'll let the pictures do the talking. Happy Birthday Kingsley!

Ivanka Trump Celebrates Fashion Night Out

I was covering Ivanka Trump's celebration of NYC fashion, and the launch of her Yellow Gold Collection at the Ivanka Trump store on Madison Avenue. Many friends and celebs attended - including Wendi Murdoch (wife of News Corp tycoon, Rupert Murdoch). Two of the most prominent and stylish business icons and leading ladies of NY welcomed over 500 guests at The Ivanka Trump Boutique to introduce Ivanka's first ever yellow gold collection and to celebrate Anna Wintour and Mayor Bloomberg's global initiative to promote retail, restore consumer confidence, and celebrate fashion. Guests were greeted with gold cupcakes baked by Melissa and sparkling wine from Domaine Carneros. Here's a nice shot of Ivanka and Wendi. See the full video recap below, enjoy!

2009 Taste of Tennis - U.S. Open Kickoff Event

The 10th annual Taste of Tennis event is the only event in the world where you can sample sensational food prepared by world class chefs and rub elbows with world's greatest professional tennis players! This is the official U.S. Open kickoff event at the W Hotel where guests chill in interactive lounges, sip signature rum cocktails, groove to great music and mingle with celebrities like Bethenny Frankel, Hanna Strorm, Melissa Joan Hart & Carlos Delgado.

Andy Roddick, Fernando Gonzalez, David Ferrer, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Vera Zvonareva, Nicolas Kiefer, Aleksandra Wozniack, Chandra Rubin, Brad Gilbert, Sam Groth, Jamila Groth were all on hand to serve up the incredible food for this great cause - with proceeds going to the Food Bank for New York City provide meals for needy New Yorkers.

AYS Sports Marketing produced the first class event that is always the hottest ticket in town.

Winner Best Family Photographer in NYC 2009 - Michael Jurick Photography

Whoo-hoo! Today, I was presented with the award for best NYC family photographer 2009 by Nickelodeon's Parents'Picks! This is incredibly exciting and I genuinely thank each and every one of you who voted for me - and especially to those who made voting for me part of their morning routine! This contest was a testament to the power of cyber marketing and social networking - the good word about my photography even reached my close friends & family down in São Paulo, Brasil and reached the other side of the planet in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan. I hope that you had a chance to review my portfolio and find that my photography work had a little bit to do with the award as well ;)

I sincerely appreciate everyone's support & well-wishes and look forward to giving each of you personal high-fives and a toast of gratitude. Finally, a special thanks goes to Nickelodeon for the opportunity to participate in this fun contest.

I was shooting the band for the Bowery Presents (the promoter) and near the end of the last song we could shoot, I slipped into the front of the catwalk and nailed these killer shots.
