2008 Fall Highlights!

I had a marathon Fall photo season this year and captured some seriously fun images from all over Central Park. I went through at least 5 pairs of jeans in the past 2 months (permanent grass stains and shredded knees in the jeans) - but the shots and the smiles make it oh so worth it! Cookie Kidsfest NYC 2008 - Video!

On Sunday, I photographed Kidsfest NYC 2008 - hosted by Cookie Magazine. The amazing event was an afternoon of art, culture and giving, hosted by Kim Raver (Lipstick Jungle) and Mary Alice Stephenson host of VH1's new series America's Most Smartest Model. Brooke Shields from Lipstick Jungle also was there with her girls enjoying the activities and music from David Weinstone and the Music for Aardvarks Band. Kids were exposed to hands-on creative expression with NYC's top artists including graffiti silkscreen artist, Andre Charles. Top fashion photographer (America's Next Top Model) Nigel Barker was taking family portraits with Patrick McMullen. The event was held at the Urban Zen Center at the Stephan Weiss Studio.

Bodian Sistas 40th Birthday Funkdown!

The Bodian Sistas threw it down big time with New Orleans own, Ivan Neville & Dumpstaphunk, for a 40th blowout bash like no other at the Garden City Hotel - November 7, 2008. Halley & Casey took fun to new heights and the vibe in the room was pure bliss. Words fall short of the fun we had - so I guess you'll just have to see for yourself Check out these truly fun photos - enjoy!

Headcount.org Get Out the Vote Election Eve Party

We got treated to an ultra-special event last night at the Highline Ballroom in NYC on the Eve of the 2008 historic election. Headcount.org hosted the Get Out the Vote party featuring Stanton Moore of Galactic, John Medeski, Phil Lesh, Warren Haynes, Robert Randolph, ?uestlove, Joss Stone and many more guests. Halloween Jack O'Lantern BLAZE

Tonight we took the kids to the Hudson Valley's biggest, most electrifying Halloween event that featured more than 4,000 individually hand-carved illuminated pumpkins! The details of the carvings were amazing - from dinosaurs (and their eggs), to aquariums, giant spider-webs, haunted house, and a colossal Stonehenge - all made of pumpkins! Check these out!

Cookie Magazine - Kidsfest Chicago!

Last Sunday I photographed the most excellent Cookie Magazine "Kidsfest Chicago" Family Arts & Music Festival at the River East Art Center. This event was non-stop fun with the band Milkshake rockin' out, Cool crafts, Faux Cookie cover shoot, Guitar Hero, Playschool extravaganza, and so much more. Check out the decor of the room too - very cool stuff.

Hamptons Summer Highlights 2008

Every year I look forward to my week in the Hamptons. It's arguably one of the most beautiful places in the country (especially in the summer) and I get to work my magic under sunset skies and lush green landscapes. I get to capture kids and family portraits that truly and visually communicates the essence of summer. Here's a few of my favorite images from this year. Enjoy!

Israel Summer 2008 Highlights

On our travels to Israel this summer I set out to capture the ancient city of Jerusalem and the old Arab market with a unique view. I used my Lensbaby selective focus 50mm lens to give the images an ethereal almost otherworldly feel. We also spent alot of time on the beaches of Tel Aviv (and played hours of Matkot / beach paddle tennis), and of course enjoyed time with our cousins and extended family in Natanya and Jerusalem! Enjoy!

Eeeddie Bear Hits 7!

It's an Eeeddie bear blog posting week as I share more pix of my gorgeous party girl. Eden celebrated at the world famous Dylan's Candy Bar and ate more candy than any 7 year old should! The party was a blast and people had so much fun that we partied deep into the afternoon at the NY Spa Castle - where all the kids went swimming and soaked in the spa. Check out NY Spa Castle - it's a New York hidden gem, for sure! Meanwhile, here are some really fun pix from Eden's 7th birthday party, enjoy!

Gal's Birthday brought the Sands Beach Club to a close in glorious weather style. We had such a great time and can't wait to do it again next year. The Sands Beach Club Rules!

Heading to Israel, Here's a Look Back

As I get ready to vacation in Israel this week, I was reflecting on one of my past trips to Israel back in 1995. I was telling the kids this story last night before bed. I hiked to the top of Masada starting at 5am so that we could see the sunrise at the top of the mountain. When we arrived at the top, these doves landed on top of the mountain to watch the sunrise along side of us. I took these pictures and treasure them for their serene beauty and of that magic trip to to the top of the mountain on my first trip to Israel.

Virgin Mobile Music Festival 2008

Now in it's 3rd year, the Virgin Mobile Music Festival has reached a level of entertainment consistent Richard Branson's Virgin brand. The quality of talent, multimedia & ambient in-field entertainment production value and all around vibe of the festival was top-notch.

Saturday's lineup included: Foo fighters, Jack Johnson, Underworld, Chuck Berry & The Silver Beats, Citezen Cope, The Offspring, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Lupe Fiasco, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, The Swell Season, Gogol Bordello, Duffy.
