Galactic, Umphrees at Central Park Summerstage

It was the perfect summer night for a trek thru the park to catch some of New Orleans and Chi-towns finest bands who played on the great Central Park's Summerstage. Also, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals kicked off the evening. Galactic is always consistently furiously funky and I just can't seem to escape Stanton Moores kick-drum driving, snare pounding groove. There is something about the summertime that makes one long for Italy. Italy's food, villas (like ours you see above), and slow-paced easy lifestyle really enable one to completely disconnect from the electronic world we live in . fresh link to a free soundboard from the Woodstock show in Bethel, NY. It was actually a faithful recreation of the Dead's Woodstock set from 1969. These shows sound phenomenal. I strongly urge you to download and listen!

July 4th Weekend at the Sands

The scene was classic loose Camden, but we didn't hang out in the lot too long because there was serious music onstage early in the evening. Gal Cuts 12 Inches - Donates Mane to Locks of Love

Well, after 3 plus years of thick, unadultered mane-growing, my beautiful wife cut her hair last night - about 12 inches - and donated to the wonderful charity "Locks of Love."

She was going to grow it another 2-3 inches during the summer and cut it after, but the heat was too much. So we all gathered around the salon - Tal came and the kids came with our bbsitter, Brooke - and we chronicled the whole event.

Gal was really emotional after her mane was cut, but we all cheered and made her feel like a champ. Everyone commented on how it was such a great thing she did for the charity. I love her new "do. "

I've also posted a picture of how it looked the next day.

Jonah & Eden's Last Day of School 2006

Well, this year has definitely gone by faster than any year I can remember. It literally seems like yesterday that they entered Kindergarden (for Jonah) and Pre-K (for Eden). Gal has been incredibly active at PS 158 - and the kids love that she walks them to school everyday.
